Role
World Remit is looking to recruit a new member who can prepare accurate financial information as well as owning the monthly and quarterly US state reporting process. The candidate will need to push towards improving current processes with the aim of automating as much as possible. The candidate will need to show strong cross collaboration between local teams in the US as well as teams in other offices, globally.
Duties include (but are not limited to):
Responsible for the production of timely and accurate monthly management accounts for the entities encompassing the NA region, including P&L, balance sheet and cash flow;
Provide insights into the movements in the P&L and balance sheet versus prior periods and budgets;
Assist in the completion of the year-end statutory accounts and actively participate in the annual audit;
Own the monthly payroll reporting process;

SENIOR SOFTWARE DEVELOPER (Golang)
While our official job title is that of Senior Developer, the role itself is much more than that, offering end-to-end ownership of our platform. Senior Software Developers at Form3 are tasked with building the next generation payment API in the cloud.
There are a wide range of problems to tackle, from configuring nginx proxies to writing custom payment routing and handling logic, and we contribute open source back to the community. We believe that the language you write the code in is just how you convey your solution to the computer and the real value is being able to think through a problem.
You will be working on new development projects, focused on best practice across the board, including automation of absolutely everything (Terraform for infrastructure deployments to AWS, CI/CD with contract-based testing and auto-deployment of services within Docker containers, etc.), pair programming and TDD/BDD. Although many of us live around London, we are operating as a remote team, and typically working from home and pair programming.
Our development team of over 20 people are all passionate about software, love to experiment with the latest technologies and enjoy solving interesting and challenging problems. Seeing as they all work remotely, they have to be great communicators and enjoy working in a collaborative team-environment.

Managing queries on transactions via phone, email and instant chat. You’ll be the first point of contact for our customers so an attentive manner is a must. A smile on your face will go a long way, too :-)
Screening and verifying customer’s identification.
Reviewing transactions and identifying suspicious activities. Reporting and escalating said suspicious activities to the relevant department.
Research unusual or questionable transactions with the relevant department.
Monitor and release transactions.
Advising customers on the products WorldRemit offer.
What do we want from you?
Bachelor’s Degree is essential.
Customer service experience previously would be great. But if you genuinely care and want to help and love talking to people, that’s a great start!
Fluent in both written and spoken French and English.
