Job Description

As the Market Intelligence Manager, you will lead the effort to collect market insights and data to help refine Ripple’s go-to-market strategy.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Own global competitive tracking and analysis to advise on strategic and tactical implications for the go-to-market strategy
  • Build and revise target geography and target account plans
  • Analyze market conditions for target countries, including:
    • Current payments landscape (current solutions, emerging solutions, trends, etc.)
    • Use cases
    • Customer segments
    • Competitive analysis (positioning, pricing, packaging)
  • Help refine go-to-market plans using the analysis above for the target countries, outlining:
    • Target use cases
    • Partnership opportunities
    • Target connections
    • Product requirements
  • Contribute to other components of go-to-market strategy, including customer segmentation, pricing, packaging, competitive positioning and messaging
  • Provide sales support as needed for data-driven analysis
  • 10-20% international travel

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

  • 5+ years of work experience, with 2+ years of experience in the payments and/or fintech industries
  • Experience in market and competitive intelligence, research or data analytics
  • Experience at a top-tier management consulting firm is highly valued, and an MBA is preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent problem solving skills. You should be able to take a complex problem and structure a solution with incomplete data and a lot of ambiguity.
  • Comfort in a fast-paced, cross-functional work environment with a roll-up-the-sleeves attitude to get things done
  • Love for startups, entrepreneurship, economics and financial markets, transaction banking, payments, problem solving
  • Smart, energetic and relentless in the pursuit of moving the needle
