As a Technical Sourcer At Enigma, you will be a key driver of growth to help us execute on our ambitious growth plans. You will use your technical sourcing experience and deep knowledge of the technology community to source exceptional engineering and data science talent. You will be chiefly responsible for building the talent pipeline across our entire engineering organization. Your sourcing focus will be aimed at hiring the software engineering and data science talent that fuels our ability to change the way some of the world’s most esteemed companies and governments make decisions with data. You recognize that the best talent isn’t always looking for a new job, and that the recruiting process demands creativity and hustle. Our environment will provide you with the chance to utilize your strengths, stretch your skills, and work with a group of intellectually curious, generous and fun colleagues.
About You:
You are an experienced sourcer with technical sourcing experience with a search firm or in-house recruiting team, preferably sourcing software engineering and data science talent.
You think like a data scientist by researching and creating organizational ontologies but have the hustle of a recruiter to source and spotlight qualified talent pools for the recruiting team to engage with.
Ability to source LinkedIn, GitHub, StackOverflow and Social Media profiles to build an engineering and data science pipeline.
You have the passion to engage the community by connecting with prospects leveraging sourcing tools, user groups, employee referrals, networking, meetups and other events.
Passionate to learn as much as you can about the culture, tech stack, development processes, and current projects for the engineering teams that you are recruiting for.
You are a strong and personable communicator who can provide a unique and impactful recruiting experience while developing lasting relationships with both candidates and hiring managers alike.
Experience with different ATS and recruiting platforms, Greenhouse experience a plus +
Our Story:
Enigma is a rapidly growing enterprise technology company based in the Flatiron neighborhood of New York City. We are Series B funded, partnering with some of the best investors in the world: New Enterprise Associates, Two Sigma Ventures, Comcast Ventures, Crosslink Capital, American Express Ventures, and others.
Founded in 2012, Enigma was started based on the realization that there was tremendous potential in using public data to understand how the world works, but that it was untapped because the data is highly fragmented and disconnected. Enigma set out to change that by building and organizing one of the largest collections of public data in the world, and our big coming out party was winning TechCrunch Disrupts Battlefield in 2013. Our vision has remained steadfast, we want to empower people to interpret, and improve, the world around them. However, we have expanded our ability to realize this vision by combining our massive public data repository with an ecosystem of software and tools designed to link, resolve, enhance and apply data to help global-scale companies take on some of their hardest problems, ranging from preventing money laundering to ensuring patient safety.
We are proud to be an equal opportunity workplace and is an affirmative action employer. We are committed to equal employment opportunity regardless of race, color, ancestry, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, age, citizenship, marital status, disability, gender identity or veteran status.

About Earnin:
Our financial system is fundamentally unfair for people who live paycheck to paycheck. People shouldn’t have to wait weeks to get the pay they’ve already earned. This wait forces them to spend more than $100 billion a year on short-term credit products, late fees and overdraft fees.
Earnin helps people overcome this unfairness by giving them real-time access to their money as soon as they have worked -- without fees or interest.
Our team is bound together by a desire to level the financial playing field. Our investors, Andreessen Horowitz, Ribbit Capital, Felicis Ventures, Matrix Partners and March Capital believe we will change the world.
You can help make a difference. Join us.
About the Team:
We're a small but growing people team that is looking for a technical sourcer to join us in tackling our aggressive hiring goals and helping us grow our talent function from the ground up. You'll work with colleagues who share the same goals, passion, and vision in building a rapidly growing Silicon Valley start-up.
What Set Us Apart:
Have a direct impact on forming a collaborative and cohesive team culture.
Work WITH us. Not FOR us.
Be involved with laying the groundwork for our hiring process.
As a Technical Sourcer you will:
Drive a pipeline of high quality tech talent for our Engineering, Data Science, and Analytics teams for our offices in Palo Alto, CA and Cincinnati, OH.
Own the sourcing and recruiting process at Earnin and communicate with the Recruiting team and Hiring Managers to understand the criteria and quality required for each role as well as assessing their alignment to our company’s mission, values, and culture.
Build and maintain a network of candidates through passive outreach, events, and online content.
Partner with People Ops to conduct analytics projects, including but not limited to Quality of Hire measurements, determining strong indicators of hiring success, and skill mapping.
Extract insights from analytics and metrics in order to make the recruiting process more efficient and effective from start to finish.
Some skills we consider critical to being a Technical Sourcer:
5+ years of technical and non-technical recruiting experience, with an emphasis on sourcing and engagement of passive candidates.
Startup experience and/or your network includes a range of technical and non-technical talent from related companies.
A data-driven mindset and the ability to leverage recruiting and HR systems
Strong strategic sourcing capabilities beyond LinkedIn, Github, etc. You enjoy building your own pipeline and possess strong negotiation and closing skills.
Strong project management skills and experience building, refining, and iterating on recruiting processes.
Experience building solid relationships with senior internal executives.
Superior verbal and written communication skills.
A team first attitude with a value for working collaboratively.
A passion for both learning and teaching and leveling the financial playing field for employees and mobile technology.

We're a small but growing people team that is looking for a Sr. Recruiting Manager to join us in tackling our aggressive hiring goals and helping us grow our talent function from the ground up.
As a Sr. Recruiting Manager you will:
Own, create, and execute all recruitment activities for requisitions in both our Palo Alto, CA and Cincinnati, OH offices.
Measure and scale the right workflow between the recruiting team, hiring managers, and potential candidates.
Bring innovative ideas to effectively convey the company’s mission and brand to candidates, thus ensuring the successful identification of top talent.
Consistently assess the tech community in order to identify new trends in hiring and recruiting that will make the company stand out from its competitors.
Continually A/B test recruiting strategies to build a strong, efficient hiring process focused on speed and a stellar candidate experience.
Support the recruiting team and candidates in an effort to ensure successful onboarding.
Manage the ATS to determine that the system is regularly updated and the capabilities are still providing the effective and efficient use of the system.
Partner with People Ops to conduct analytics projects, including but not limited to Quality of Hire measurements, determining strong indicators of hiring success, and skill mapping.
Partner with Finance and the wider Activehours Leadership Team to build our future hiring plans.
